Our most recent production FREEK STREET bought together a talented cast of actors and singers, amateur and professional. The show was choreographed by professional dancer Darren Royston. FREEK STREET was directed by Alex Poulton.
FREEK STREET is the story of two young people who find the house of their dreams at a price they cannot believe. As time goes by, they realise why. Only through hypnosis can they reveal what really goes on in the street.
Cast and Musicians
David Bolton: Hypnotist
David provides entertainment suitable for all venues and events world-wide including TV. The David Bolton hypnosis show is in constant demand.
Frankie: Chloe Atkins
Chloe Atkins has been praised for her ‘angelic’, ‘soaring’, and ‘captivating’ soprano voice. Her operatic roles include Galatea in Acis and Galatea, First Witch in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Vi in Gershwin’s Blue Monday, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro and most recently Olympia in Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann. Chloe has sung and recorded with ensembles such as the Bath Philharmonia, West Sussex County Youth Orchestra, and New York Symphony Orchestra.
Recently she performed the soprano solos for Poulenc’s Gloria, Gabrieli’s In Ecclesiis and Handel’s Messiah with Bath Spa University Symphonic Choir & Orchestra. She made her Carnegie Hall concert debut, performing Karl Jenkins The Armed Man, with Sir Karl Jenkins himself.
Stevie: Oscar Smith
Oscar Smith studied B.mus Vocal Performance at Chichester University under Janice Watson and Jonathon Viera – classical voice, and Will Poole – musical theatre, voice. Oscar also studied at Chichester for part of a MA in Music Performance with a specialism on Extended Vocal Techniques (Overtone/Throat singing styles). Previous performances include Cosi Fan Tutte, Carmen, Paris Snow (A New Musical), Carousel, Hamlet and Hitleria Pizzeria (Parts 1 and 2).
Trumpet / Flügelhorn: Jordan Masters
Jordan has been playing the trumpet since the age of 6. initially gaining his skills in various brass bands including Liss Band, Hampshire County Youth Brass Band and more recently, Spinnaker Brass. Jordan was also the principal trumpeter for the European Youth Summer School of Music (EYSM) for their orchestra and big band. His music has taken him on tour to Holland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Spain. Since the age of 11, Jordan has been playing in various jazz bands and big bands sparking his burning enthusiasm for swing music. He has played in Bugsy Malone, Hairspray, Chicago, Guys and Dolls, Calamity Jane, The Addams Family, Ruddigore, the Pirates of Penzance and most recently West side story. He currently studies Electronic Engineering at the University of Portsmouth but continues the trumpet as a hobby playing the lead trumpet in Starlight Big Band, the University of Portsmouth Orchestra and the universities’ Big Band (as well as being their director). He occasionally plays in the universities’ concert band, Maury Deans’ big band, Pheonix Big band and the Dave Pearson Big Band.
Alto Saxophone / Flute / Clarinet: Adam Smith
Adam is a multi instrumentalist who has been playing clarinet and saxophone for over 11 years. Adam has played in pit orchestras for several years. He is currently completing his undergraduate studies in music at Royal Holloway University of London. He plays in several ensembles including the Symphony Orchestra, New Music Collective, Wind Band, Clarinet Ensemble and the jazz quartet ‘Table Service’. He also leads and plays alto in the university big band so enjoys the mix of jazz and theatre.
Drums: Samuel Ottley
Samuel is studying for a music degree at the University of Surrey where his principle focus is the clarinet. He has experience in various other instruments, particularly the drums which he is playing, alongside percussion, in this production. He always finds productions to be an incredibly rewarding experience having been part of the band for several at South Downs College. He is looking forward to this one!”
Keyboard: Valentina Seferinova
Award winning pianist Valentina Seferinova has a highly successful international career. She has played at all the worlds greatest venues, recorded many albums and performs frequently for radio and television. Valentina plays both as a soloist and in theatrical productions world wide. Valentina is well known on Hayling Island for performing as a soloist with Havant Symphony Orchestra.
Keyboard: Harry Haden-Brown
Harry has worked for Music Theatre Bristol, the Bristol Hippodrome, Winston Theatre, and McMillan Theatre. He currently balances work in Bristol and London as in-house Musical Director for professional touring productions. Recent projects include the British Revival of Russian operetta ‘Ophelia in Blue’, now on UK festival tour, ‘Side by Side By Sondheim’ and ’25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’ with Pandemonium Productions, Cinderella and Jack & the Beanstalk pantomimes with Imagine Theatre, and a sell-out run of ‘[title of show]’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his own Production Company ‘Cobbles & Rhyme. Harry is also sought after as a classical accompanist and recitalist.
